Learning Outcome 2

Deadlines
When working on a design project, I will need to consider the amount of time that I have available and plan my work accordingly. I will also need to take into consideration extra time for any of my work that runs late or anything unexpected happens. If I work to deadlines, it will allow me to manage my time better and make sure that I do not fall behind too severely which can cause unnecessary stress and a large workload to catch up on.

Prior Arrangements/Conflicts
I will need to take into consideration any other projects or work that may effect my completion of work to deadlines.

Health and Safety
I am completely responsible for my own health and safety so I will need to ensure that my working area is comfortable with the correct amount of light. Regular breaks from the computer screen are a must and I must ensure that I am not working for copious amount of times on the computer to ensure that I do not affect my eyesight or cause other problems to my health.

Resources
In order to complete my work fully I will need access to a few software applications such as Adobe Photoshop for my design work and a writer application such as MS Office for my complete of essays and diaries. I will also need a portable USB stick in order to carry my work from home to college and vice-versa. Access to the internet is also a must as I must be able to send my work to my tutor as well as have the ability to research anything that might help me complete my work whether that be information on business card dimensions or inspiration from other designers work.

Front

Back

My logo was used to create the front of my business card. My business card is not a conventional size but rather longer than usual because as you can see from the back, it is designed to be torn and shared with other people, making it easier for my information to be passed on from client to client

Logo

Logo Designs

Uses a very clever design by using the image of a bulb to symbolise an idea or "thinking" and combines that with a simple box and stars to create the image of a tank by using the bulb as the turret

Very simple idea but effective, using a swing and simply attaching the letters makes an eye catching but simple design that conveys the message clearly

A play on words using the word "Rockit" which sounds very similar to "Rocket" so using that and the smoke to create a guitar which keeps in theme with the company.

Using the letter B to create a bee is an excellent use of manipulating font to create an image
